Lockhart, Gilderoy - Book 2. Author and former Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. Ron is known to call him "a brainless git".

Longbottom, Frank - Book 4. Neville's father, a great Auror in his day, tortured to insanity by Death Eaters after Voldemort's downfall.

Longbottom, Gran - Book 1. Neville's grandmother who he lives with.

Longbottom, Neville - Book 1. Fellow Gryffindor boy in Harry's class. Nice, but extremely clumsy.

Lupin, Professor Remus J. - Book 3. Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher in 3rd book. A werewolf, and one of James Potter's best friends in school.
